Lewis boxscore at 2015 GLVC Tournament

In the quarterfinals of the 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference, the no. 3 seed Maryville women's tennis squad battled No. 2 seed Lewis but the Flyers edged the Saints 5-3 to advance to the semifinals. The Flyers are ranked eighth in the region.
 
The Saints grabbed the first point of the day when Manon Halna Du Fretay and Katharina Tietmann won all eight games in the No. 3 doubles match. Lewis drew even with an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles setting the stage at No. 1 doubles for which team would lead heading to singles. In a tightly contested match, Anne Lutz and All-Conference selection Puck Vlaskamp pushed the top doubles match to a tiebreaker. Lewis emerged with a 7-2 win to win the point 9-8.
 
Lewis extended its lead by taking the No. 1 and No. 3 singles points but Tietmann pulled one point back with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles. Halna Du Fretay inched the Saints closer as she was victorious at sixth singles with a 6-1, 6-0 decision. However, the Flyers closed out the match with a win at No. 4 singles.
 
The Saints finish the season with a winning record at 10-9, while the Flyers improve their mark to 12-6.
