Summary
Despite double-doubles from

Robin Thompson in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament, the No. 5 Maryville men's basketball team was eliminated by No. 4 Indianapolis 66-56 Friday night in Edwardsville, Ill. Berry had 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Thompson finished with 12 points and 10 boards.

What Happened
Neither team led by more than five points in the first half. The Saints were down 21-16 before going on a 10-2 burst to grab the lead.
Casey Teson nailed a 3-pointer to start the burst and his jumper tied the score at 21-all. After UIndy converted, the Saints sank three free throws and a
Teehjay Bogan bucket built a 26-23 lead. However, the Greyhounds used a late run to take a 32-28 lead at halftime.

Indianapolis scored seven of the first nine points to open the second half and eventually built a 39-30 lead. The Saints stormed right back to deadlock the game. Maryville hit three free throws while
Forrester Sims scored on a layup. Thompson scored on a layup, and Teson did the same to tie the game at 39-39 with 12:29 to play. UIndy scored five straight before Thompson threw down a dunk for the Saints. The Greyhounds eventually built a 49-41 edge. Berry scored inside and knocked down a 3-pointer to pull the Saints to 49-46 at the 7:30 mark. However, the Greyhounds answered with six straight to grab their biggest lead of the night at 55-46.
Jimmy Barton sank four straight free throws to pull the Saints back to 55-50 with 3:37 remaining. The Greyhounds sank five of six free throws over the final two minutes to stave off the Maryville rally.
