Ozark, Mo. –  The Maryville baseball team could not overcome a six-run fifth inning by the University of Indianapolis as the Greyhounds defeated the Saints 7-4 in the winner's bracket of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Tournament Friday afternoon at U.S. Baseball Park in Ozark, Mo.
 
The Greyhounds opened the game with a run in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Maryville grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third as Drake Lubin lifted a sacrifice fly to center field to score Cody Klotz from third base to tie the game at 1-1. Dalton Schumer gave the Saints the lead with an RBI single up the middle to make the score 2-1. Maryville added one more run in the inning on a bases-loaded walk to give the Saints a 3-1 advantage. The Greyhounds responded with six runs in the top of the fifth to take a 7-3 lead. The Saints looked to rally in the bottom of the ninth as Lubin drilled an RBI single to left field to cut the lead to 7-4. Lubin moved to third on a Brennan Williams single to put runner at the corners with two outs, but the Greyhounds got out of the jam with a groundout to end the game
